General Information
The RCA COSMAC Development Systems, the CDS II and II, are two of several models of the COSMAC 1802 development kits sold by RCA. All information to build these emulators was based on the MPM-216, MPM 232 and MPM233 Manuals.
The emulation in Emma 02 includes 4 to 28 kilobytes of RAM, 2 kilobytes of ROM. ROM Software includes a resident monitor program UT20 in the CDS II and UT21 in the CDSII.
Command summary for the UT20 and UT21:
- ?Mxxxx y: Memory display of y bytes from address xxx
- !Mxxxx bytes: Memory loading of bytes to address xxxx
- $Uxxxx: Start execution at address xxxx (with floppy disk and terminal I/O enabled)
- $Pxxxx: Start execution at address xxxx (with floppy disk and terminal I/O disabled)
- $L: Load from floppy disk (not working in Emma 02)
- $C: (UT21 only) Load CDOS operating system from floppy disk (not working in Emma 02)
- ?R: Register display as stored in register RAM at 0x8C00
